Dr. R.P. Gupta is a renowned scientist who  has number of recommendations for  farmers. He has been Chairman/ member of National Level Committees such as Project Management Committee of DBT and National  Biodiversity Board, Task Force Committee on Bio-fertilizer, GOI, Quinquennial  Research Evaluation Committee ICAR.  He as also been Coordinator, Pb Agro Industrial Corporation, Punjab.

He has more than 100 research publications in reputed journals & has published number of books. He did his Doctorate from PAU, Ludhiana and Post Doctoral research from UST, lille, France. and advance  trainings   in China and India. He served Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana for over 3 decades and  retired in 2006 as Coordinator of Research and joined BIS Group of Institutions there.
